Dear Fellow Fund Leaders,
The Coastal Enhancement Fund (CEF) aims to support groups and individuals whose projects will enhance, restore and protect Auckland's coastline.
Another funding round will open on 10 December 2008 and close on 28 February 2009 to uplift the funds for the 2009/2010 financial year. Successful projects will be subject to Annual Plan approvals in June 2009. Letters will be sent in July 2009 advising whether grant applications have been successful.
The total funds available in this round are approximately $336,353.
The ARC will be hosting a workshop in January 2009 to advise applicants on what type of projects can apply for CEF funding; how to submit an application; and also provide technical advice from ARC officers on the specific issues for your proposed project. If you are interested in attending the workshop, please contact Marcus Ballantyne (Environmental Education Analyst) to express your interest in the workshop by 5 January 2009. Please note that numbers will be limited for this workshop, so we advise you contact us as soon as possible to secure your place a the workshop. The location of the workshop will be confirmed at a later date.

Applicants will be updated on any interim funding rounds for the 2009/10 funding year after July 2009.

The new funding criteria and online application form will be made available on the ARC website from 10 December 2008. When submitting your application, please ensure that the updated online application form has been completed and you have referred to the amended funding criteria when completing.
