Warkworth youth charities will benefit to the tune of $33,400.00 thanks to last year's Northern Toll Road Tunnel Charity Dinner.
The dinner, which was attended by 2,300 patrons, raised more than $100,000 for a consortium of three Rodney Rotary clubs. Warkworth Rotary's share was presented to the club by dinner organisors Dave Parker and Malcom Webster. President Arnold Nicholls accepted the cheque on behalf of the club.

Mr Nicholls said his members were delighted at the outcome from the dinner, which, he says, exceeded their most optimistic expectations."It was a great event for a great cause and we are grateful for the organisors for allowing our local youth to benefit from it," He said.
Similar presentations were made to the Kumeu and Whangaparaoa Rotary clubs.
