Report on Dog Control Policies and Practices 2008 - 2009The report on dog control policies and practices for the period between 1 July 2008 and 30 June 2009 was adopted by the Council on 24 September 2009.

Lost and Impounded DogsAll lost and impounded dogs from Rodney District are now housed at the Northern Animal Shelter, 47 Tavern Road, Silverdale.

Stanmore Bay Wetland Enhancement Project Public MeetingThe Rodney District Council is working toward developing a wetland area and other amenities adjacent to the Stanmore Stream near Whangaparaoa College and we would like your input into what form it should take.

Clarification of Dog Registration FeesDog owners will have received an application form to register your dog which has a due date of 1 July 2009. This year we have extended the discount date for paying dog registrations until 1 September 2009.

Dog Control Fees - 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010The following Dog Control fees have been set by Council pursuant to the Dog Control Act 1996 Section 37.

Dog Registration 2009/2010The Rodney District Council advises that the last date for payment of dog registration fees for the 2009/2010 year at the discounted rate will be 1 September 2009.

Selected Dog Owners“Selected Dog Owner” status is granted to owners whose property and dog care/control practices comply with Council’s good dog owner criteria.
