At an Extraordinary Meeting on 18 June 2009 the Council confirmed:
i. a new Chapter 25-Parking and Traffic Control Bylaw
ii. revocation of certain clauses in; Chapter 1-Bylaw Administration Chapter 8-Public Places and Chapter 9-Traffic Control and Numbering of Premises (now to be found in Chapter 25)
iii. renaming of Chapter 9-Road Crossings and Numbering of Premises.
The new bylaw consolidates all parking and local traffic control bylaws, contains enabling powers to introduce paid parking charges and confirms existing traffic prohibitions, limitations and restrictions marked out or indicated by signs on all roads and public places under the control of the Council.
This bylaw and the consequential revocations and amendment to other bylaws become operative on 1 July 2009.
