Proposal to close roads in Warkworth Town Centre to vehicular traffic for the Kowhai Festival: Hug Day Out
PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that the Rodney District Council, for the purpose of: The Kowhai Festival, proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.
Road proposed to be closed: Queen Street from Neville Street to Mill Lane, Wharf Street, Kapanui Street, Baxter Street and Neville Street from Warkworth Street. Limited access to Neville Street between Warkworth and Alnwick Streets.
Date of proposed road closure: Saturday, 10 October 2009.
Period of proposed road closure: 7am to 5pm.
During the proposed period of closure, the event organisers will station representatives at each end of the road to explain the situation to road users and offer assistance for detour routes. Any person objecting to this proposal is called upon to lodge notice of his/her objection and the grounds thereof in writing before 5.00pm Tuesday, 22 September 2009 to the Rodney District Councils Events, Administrator.
