PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that the Rodney District Council, for the purpose of The Mayoral Challenge 2009 – Casual Cycle Event, proposes to close the following road to ordinary vechicular traffic.
Road proposed to be closed: Hibiscus Coast Highway (State Highway 1, Orewa) from Centreway Road to West Hoe Road.
Period of proposed closure: Sunday, 1 March 2009, 10:00am to 2:00pm.
During the proposed period of closure, the event organisers will station representatives at each end of the road to explain the situation to road users and offer assistance for detour routes. Any person objecting to this proposal is called upon to lodge notice of his/her objection and the grounds thereof in writing before 5.00pm Monday, 8 Febuary 2009, to the Rodney District Councils Events Administrator.
