Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 54(1)(C) of the Reserves Act 1977 that Rodney District Council intends to pass a resolution to surrender the existing Red Beach Surf Lifesaving Club Incorporated Memorandum of Lease dated 12 February 1981, and grant the Club a new Deed of Lease for one term of 33 years less 1 day, expiring on 30 December 2041, for its building situated on Red Beach Domain.
The lease area comprises the footprint of the Club building and proposed minor extensions, and forms part of Red Beach Domain situated at the northern end of Ngapara Street, Red Beach (Lot 17 DP 19458, Computer Freehold Register NA38A/1305) being a classified recreation reserve within the meaning of the Reserves Act 1977.
The Club is currently building a new observation deck, upper level building addition, and plans to add one additional squash court. The Club has requested a new lease to cater for the increased lease area.

Any person wishing to object to this proposal shall forward such objection in writing to Ross Baker, Rodney District Council, Private Bag 500, Orewa to be received no later than 4pm on Friday, 13 March 2009.
