Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that the Rodney District Council, for the purpose of The Whangateau Road Toll Annual Event, proposes to slow traffic on the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.
Road proposed for Traffic Management: Leigh Road, Whangateau, outside the Whangateau Domain, either side of Leigh Road.
Period of proposed Traffic Management: Saturday, 11 April 2009, 8.00am to 12.00pm.
During the proposed period of Traffic Management: There will be appropriate signage displayed showing the purpose of the donation and for slowing the speed of the traffic.
Cones will be placed along the centre line of the road. The event organisers will station representatives on each side of the Collection area situated on the berm.
This area will be coned to allow for the collection of tolls from road users and to assist in the natural flow of traffic. Any further information can be obtained from the Rodney District Councils Events Administrator.
