At the meeting on 26th February 2009 the Council adopted the proposed amendments to the Standards for Engineering Design and Construction (2009) document (SEDC).
The SEDC document is intended to ensure that assets associated with new developments, which are to be vested in the Council, achieve acceptable levels of service in terms of their capacity, maintenance and useful working life. The Council prepares and continuously updates the SEDC in consultation with developers operating in Rodney District. Continuous review is required because of on-going changes in engineering best practice, materials and feedback from practical application of the SEDC in the field.
We are now calling for feedback on the proposed changes.
A copy of the agenda item and the “Proposed Standards for Engineering Design and Construction” document can be viewed online by clicking here, by visiting a Service Centre or Library, or by contacting the Rodney District Councils Call Centre on 0800 426 5169. All feedback is required in writing by 4.00pm, Thursday 2nd April 2009, addressed to the Manager: Infrastructure Coordination, Rodney District Council.
The Standards for Engineering Design and Construction (2009) with any subsequent amendments will be confirmed at the Council meeting on 23 April 2009.
