PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that the Rodney District Council, for the purpose of The Police Pay Parade Event, proposes to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.
Road proposed to be closed:
Nothern End: Commercial Road( State Highway 16) at the intersection of Kowhai Road and Commercial Road until parade has passed through, Traffic will be detoured via Puriri Road into Garfield Road and back to main Highway via intersection of Garfield and Commercial Road.
Southern End: Road closure at the intersection of Garfield and Commercial Road. Traffic detoured as in Northern End, in opposite direction.
Traffic intending to enter Commercial Road during the parade will be held at marshal points at these intersections until the parade has passed.
A Marshalling point will be created outside Creek Lane to allow traffic to enter Shopping area, once the parade has formed outside the RSA. The area of Commercial Road, from Creek Lane will remain closed until the conclusion of the parade. Traffic entering Creek Lane will be directed away form the parade area, until the conclusion of the parade.
Garfield Road: To be coned off to prevent parking, allowing for even flow of Traffic while detour is in place.

Thursday,19 March 2009, 11:00am to 12:30pm.
Any person objecting to this proposal is called upon to lodge notice of his/her objection and the grounds thereof in writing before 5.00pm Friday, 13 February 2009 to the Rodney District Councils Events Administrator.
