Pursuant to the 10th Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is given that the Rodney District Council will close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic, for the purpose of a rail safety exercise.
Road to be closed: Matua Road, Huapai (at the western end, from the SH16 intersection for approximately 300m in a northerly direction).
Period of closure: Wednesday, 29 July 2009, 9:00am to 3:30pm. This date is weather dependant with the rain date being Wednesday 5 August 2009.
During the period of closure, the organisers will station representatives at each end of the road to explain the situation to road users and offer assistance for detour routes.
