The Rodney District Council wish to advise that a Total Fire Ban will be in place on Kawau Island from 1st November 2009 to 30th March 2010. In this area no person shall light or permit the lighting of a fire in the open air. This ban includes the use of solid fuel barbecues and braziers however, gas barbecues and cookers are exempt from this notice.
