2006 Census - Population Projections

The Rodney Growth Model (August 2008) projects dwelling and population growth for all parts of the area out to 2051, using the 2006 New Zealand Census as a base.  It uses a long-term population projection for the whole of Rodney of 194,000 people and distributes this according to the dwelling capacities already available or expected to be available in various parts of the area by virtue of District Plan zonings, structure plans or other planning initiatives.

The following links display population projection estimates for the Planning Area Units of Rodney.  The map illustrates the boundaries of each Planning Area Unit.  Please note that these figures are population projection estimates based on the 2006 census and should be used as a guide only.
