Moving towards a single council
The councils in the Auckland region have been working cooperatively to move smoothly to the new Auckland Council on 1 November 2010.
That cooperation has helped us standardise Building Consent online information and produce a single set of associated forms. You can use these forms now at any local government organisation in the Auckland area.
Building Fee Calculator
The building fee calculator will help you work out the minimum fee to be submitted with your building consent application. Please make sure you enter all the relevant information.
In addition to your building consent fee, you may also be required to pay a Development Contribution fee. Development Contributions cover the costs associated with the Council upgrading or developing infrastructure as a result of development. This fee is usually payable if you are building a new property.
