Building Fee Calculator

The building fee calculator will help you work out the minimum fee to be submitted with your building consent application.  Please make sure you enter all the relevant information.

Mininum processing fee includes scanning, specification review and PIM.		$0.00
Inspection deposit fee:
A schedule of standard inspections will be attached to building consents approved by council.		$0.00
Council damage deposit fee:
Building work valued at more than $50,000 will be charged a construction bond of $1000.		$0.00
DBH fee ($1.97 PER $1000):
Department of Building and Housing (DBH) charges apply to building work with a value of $20,000 or greater. For example: Value of work/1000 *1.97 = DBH fee. 		$0.00
BRANZ fee ($1.00 PER $1000):
Building Research Association of NZ (BRANZ) charges apply to building work with a value of $20,000 or greater. For example: Value of work/1000 *1.00 = BRANZ fee. 		$0.00
