The SIR is a report unique to the former Rodney District Council and is designed to provide you with information before the substantial design of your project.
It is recommended that you apply for a SIR as early as possible so that you have the best information before commencing your design (the SIR fee will be deducted from the PIM fee in most instances).
Please note - a SIR does not provide planning advice for a property relating to the district plan non-compliances in your project (you will need to apply for a PIM to receive this information).
To apply for a SIR you will need to present a site plan and proposed footprint of the building.

How much does a SIR cost?
A fee of $190 for a SIR is required with your application. However, the fee will be deducted from any charges, if an application for a PIM or a combination of a PIM/Building Consent is lodged with the Council within 5 months from the issue of the SIR. For the fee to be deducted, the SIR issued for the property will need to be submitted with the PIM and/or building consent application.
