Sandspit Marina - RDC and ARC Joint Resource Consent Application

The Sandspit Yacht Club Marina is planned adjacent to the existing Yacht Club facilities in the lower area of the Matakana River. The marina will hold approximately 157 berths and will consist of a rock breakwater, a floating breakwater and five marina piers.

Most of the activities which consents are being sought for are in the costal marine area.  Consent is also being sought for some land based works on the existing reclamation, including a dinghy storage rack and additional vehicle parking areas.

The submission period has now closed.  People who have selected in their submission to be heard by the Council, will have the opportunity to do so.  Council staff will contact submitters when a submission hearing date has been allocated.
