Auckland Council District Plan (Rodney Section)

The District Plan sets out the Council's strategies and policies for managing land use and development within the district. It contains rules that may affect you if you want to build, subdivide or change the use of your land.

About The District Plan

The Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) requires all councils to prepare plans for their district. The plan describes the district’s significant resource management issues and sets out the objectives, policies and methods to address these issues.

Auckland Council District Plan (Rodney Section) 2011

The Proposed District Plan, notified in November 2000, has progressively been made operative since January 2009. The last five chapters became operative on 29 July 2011.

Plan Changes

If the Council modifies or amends requirements under the Proposed District Plan this is called a Variation. You can find out more about Variations to the District Plan here.
