Constraints and Opportunities Research
Constraints and Opportunities Report
Constraints and opportunities mapping is a traditional approach used by land use planners to ensure that any future development takes place in the least sensitive and most suitable areas. This constraints and opportunities report examines various areas, collating information from other supporting reports.
Landscape Assessment Report
The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the landscape character within an identified study area, centring on the township of Waimauku.
Land Stability Report
This study is intended as an initial assessment of land stability constraints over a large area. Through broad zones the map identifies geotechnical constraints for the subject area, including hazards, possible measures to improve or ensure stability, and an opinion regarding the extent of landform modification required for urban or rural-residential development.
Cultural Heritage Report
This report looks at the history of the study area and identifies some of the sites of cultural heritage within the study area.
Transport Constraints and Opportunities Report
This document has been developed to support a “Constraints and Opportunities” report for future development at Waimauku. It is intended to represent a “snapshot” of the current situation based on existing knowledge, rather than include any new analysis.
