The Kaukapakapa Structure Plan process has been reactivated. It is a community driven process designed to ensure that Kaukapakapa’s future is well planned, and reflects the community’s vision and values.
The first stage of the structure planning consists of establishing a community vision for the area. The ‘Draft Vision for Waitoki’ is brief and succinctly incorporates the community’s aspirations for the future of Waitoki.
The Plan identifies improvements to streets, public spaces and walking routes within Wellsford that could be made. It suggests landscape improvements to they key approaches to the town and key internal roads.
Council is currently preparing stage 1 of the Silverdale West Structure Plan. The structure plan aims to investigate the feasibility of the provision of land for business development.
Consultation on the future development of Kumeu and Huapai has now closed.
