Mahurangi East Catchment Management Plan

The Mahurangi East peninsula covers an area of approximately 2,500 ha, reaching from Sandspit to Martins Bay and Scotts Landing.   The study area discharges stormwater into the Mahurangi Estuary and Harbour, the Matakana River mouth, and into the Hauraki Gulf (Snells Beach, Algies Bay, Scandretts Bay, Goldsworthy Bay and Martins Bay).

In order to protect and enhance the identified sensitive receiving environments, a catchment management plan has been developed for Mahurangi East.
