Business recycling
Effective 1st July 2009, all Rodney businesses are now eligible to receive a service. This will be the same level of service as households:
- Urban areas – up to three 55l bins, weekly collection
- Rural areas – up to three 70l bins, fortnightly collection
- Plastic containers grade 1-7, glass bottles & jars, tin and Al cans
- Paper/cardboard needs to be flattened and bound securely, placed next to blue bins.
- Commercial volumes will not be taken (e.g. bar, sports-club etc). Businesses receive the same service as households.
The business service will be rolled out on an area by area basis. All businesses will be approached and bins delivered if they want to utilize the service. A programme will be developed to roll-out this service after 1 July.
School Recycling
