Resource Recovery Centres & Recycling Depots

View Auckland Anniversary Day and Waitangi Day rubbish and recycling collection changes.

Resouce Recovery Centres (also known as 'dumps', transfer stations or recycling depots) are privately owned, user-pays facilities.  They can be used for rubbish or recyclable materials that are unsuitable or impractical for kerbside collections.  Please contact the centres directly to enquire about disposal charges. 

East

Whangaparaoa Recycling Depot

Please note: This facility will be closed from 14-26 November 2011 for upgrade work.  Recycling can be taken to Remondis Waste Transfer Station at 101 Foundry Road, Silverdale.

The Kaipara Coast Plant Centre is currently collecting all grades of plastic, including old plant pots, compost bags and silage wrap.
