Kerbside rubbish collections are intended for non-hazardous household waste that cannot be reused or recycled. The service is provided by licensed private rubbish companies and is not rates-funded via the council.
Individual households and businesses are responsible for the collection of their own waste by purchasing either a bin or rubbish bags supplied by one of the companies operating in your area. Please contact your chosen rubbish collector directly for details of their services:

Inorganic Rubbish Collection
There is no inorganic rubbish collection in Rodney. This type of material should be taken to a Resource Recovery Centre. Alternatively, why not consider selling it or donating it to charity.
Rubbish Not Picked Up?
From time to time there may be occasions when your normal rubbish collection is missed. There may be a number of reasons for this:
- Has there been a stat holiday recently? If so, then your rubbish collection day may have changed. Please check the recycling schedules in the Recycling Search functionality for more details.
- Collection may have happened earlier than you expected - most companies request that your rubbish is placed out by 7am.
- Your rubbish may have been accidentally missed. Please contact your rubbish company for details.
- Certain items have not been removed? Please check with your rubbish company for details.
