Calling all artists, performers and musicians

Rodney District Council is calling all artists to be part of an arts database and email group which will keep them updated on funding opportunities, arts news and events.

The difficulty is that the district is vast in its geography and while it is culturally very rich, these riches are often tucked away in remote forests, small towns, farms or marae.

The RDC wants to find artists of all shapes and sizes – high-profile contemporary artists, weavers, garage bands, tohunga, folk artists, cultural dance groups, musicians, eco-artists, and more – so that we can find ways of supporting them in their work. This is happening through compiling a detailed database of artists.

Being part of the database means that the RDC can find you when they are looking for artists for public art opportunities, grants, performances, events and others.

For the database we are asking for no more than three A4 pages to be sent to Private Bag 500, Orewa, with images and basic contact information, myspace page, website or CV.
