Wastewater Charges
Wastewater charges are made up of two elements:
a) A property/utility charge for depreciation and interest costs of the wastewater infrastructure (the cost of having the wastewater system available). This is charged on your annual rates bill
b) A volumetric charge (formerly known as the pan charge) for wastewater processing costs (the cost of using the wastewater system). From July 2009 this charge was removed from the rates bill and is now charged six-monthly along with water charges. Find out more about volumetric charging.
