There are a number of different types of rates payable to the Rodney District Council. Please use the pages below to find out more about RDC rates and how to pay them.

Wastewater Charges

If you are connected to the wastewater network, from July wastewater charges will no longer appear on your rates assessment. They will be billed later as part of our move to a better, fairer billing system called volumetric charging. Find out more about volumetric charging.

Property Rates Search

Search for details relating to a property within the Rodney District by entering the address of the property you are interested in, and/or rate account number if known.

Pay Your Rates Online

You are able to your pay your rates and most other Rodney District Council invoices with your Visa or MasterCard credit card online.

Payment Options

Rates payment by direct debit allows a payment to be automatically deducted from your bank account. It is an easy and efficient way to pay your rates – and avoid the penalty charges!

The Rates Rebate Scheme was established in 1973 to provide a subsidy to low-income homeowners on the cost of their rates
