The Rodney District Council offers six scholarships, each valued at $2000, in recognition of the value of education to the District's future.


Who can apply?

The scholarships are open to sixth and seventh form students attending the Kaipara, Mahurangi, Orewa and Rodney Colleges who will be undertaking full-time tertiary study in the next academic year.

The scholarships will be awarded on the recommendation of selection panels set up in consultation with the four colleges (one scholarship each for Kaipara and Rodney Colleges, and two scholarships each for Mahurangi and Orewa Colleges).

How to apply

There is no formal application form but applicants should provide information on their academic record at school, intended course of study and any other information considered relevant.

Major criteria will include excellence in school work and suitability for the proposed course of study.

The selection process for recipients takes place in November, with the presentations of the awards being made at the December Council meeting.
