Annual Residents Survey 2009 Results
Rodney District Council recently sought residents’ views on the services and activities RDC provides through the Annual Residents Survey.
This year’s survey measured satisfaction of a number of services and activities along with information about how important people feel those services/activities are to their quality of life, and which are most in need of improvement.
Activities identified as both being most important and in need of improvement include road and footpath maintenance; being clean and graffiti free. Other key community concerns include public transport, crime, facilities for children and teenagers and job prospects.

What is the Citizens Panel?
To improve ongoing public input into Council consultations and planning, Rodney District Council is establishing a new online Citizens Panel.
The panel is made up of local residents who are able to have their say on a range of issues including leisure and recreation facilities, water services, and customer services. Public input from the Citizens Panel will help us to plan for the future.
We are looking for a wide range of people from different age groups, ethnic backgrounds, geographical locations and genders to participate.
You will need to complete at least three surveys a year. In return we will provide regular results and feedback from the Citizens Panel, so you can see how your views are impacting on Council policies and plans.
