This is an example of a good Rodney wetland exhibiting a range of habitat and vegetation types, from open water with Carex secta (foreground) to Raupo Reedland in the background. This sites lacks fencing and buffering vegetation and would benefit from this type of management but is considered a good example due to health, diversity and size of the wetland.
