The aim of the Warkworth town centre upgrade is to create an
environment that enhances the character of the town centre for the benefit
and enjoyment of the community and visitors.
Draft concept plans and drawings have been developed for the
revitalisation of the Warkworth Town Centre. They include:
- improving public space in the town centre
- creating a central town square
- developing connections within the town centre; and
- enhancing the river edge.
Community
feedback has been received on the draft concept plans and a report will
be presented to the Strategy and Community Committee in August with
recommended changes.
