|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
What is the Creative Communities Scheme?The Scheme is a partnership between Creative New Zealand and local authorities to support opportunities for New Zealanders to actively participate in the arts. By administering the scheme, Rodney District Council can offer the community opportunities to actively participate in the arts. FundingRodney District Council receives approximately $50,000 a year from Creative New Zealand for the Scheme. There are two Community Art Councils in Rodney. Between them they assess the applications and allocate the funding amounts. Large grants are available twice a year and small grants are available on a monthly basis. Creative Communities Scheme PilotRodney District Council is one of four Councils involved in a pilot study of the Creative Communities Scheme. This involves working with revised and more targeted criteria. The funding amount, allocation and administrative process remain the same. Who can apply?Individuals or groups seeking funding for local arts projects. Your project must meet the Scheme’s eligibility criteria. The criteria are based around active participation in the arts and increasing the range and diversity of arts available to the community. For more information on the eligibility criteria for your project please see:
